Injection mould base features precise guiding system, high structural rigidity and excellent dimensional stability, widely applied to mould fabrication for automotive dashboards, household appliances, medical devices and consumer electronics.
- Standard: Custom or standard mold base system
- Technique: Fabricated from pre-hardened plates. Ready for direct cavity machining. All plates blanchard ground before hole drilling and pocket milling
- Shape: Standard two-plate or three-plate mold bases. Custom oversized dimensions available
- Heat treatment: Plates used in pre-hardened condition (28–34 HRC). No further heat treatment needed. Inserts can be hardened if required
- Surface Treatment: Ground Ra ≤0.8 μm on critical faces. Electroless nickel plating optional for corrosion resistance. Standard anti-rust oil shipping

Annealing
- 650 to 700°C (1202 to 1292°F)
- Slow cooling in furnace to room temperature

Hardening
- Prehardened delivery: 280–330 HB (29–35 HRC) standard; 330–370 HB (32–39 HRC) for HH grade
- No hardening heat treatment is needed; the material is ready for immediate machining
Stress relieving
- 500 to 550°C (932 to 1022°F) – must not exceed the original tempering temperature
- Hold 2 hours minimum, air cool
- Purpose: eliminate machining-induced residual stresses and maintain dimensional stability
Tempering
- Not applicable for prehardened material
- For re-hardening (after forging), temper at 550–650°C to restore prehardened hardness (29–35 HRC)
